Biotecus Fairy Cichlids only grow to 1 1/2 inches and are found in small ponds in Brazil. These dwarf cichlids are shy and suited to small fish tanks and planted aquariums. Biotecus opercularis get brighter and showier when they mate, and try to blend in to the background and just survive in the meantime. These are rare in the fish trade and a great addition to the fish tank but are seldom available.
