Black Spot Gar

Aquarium Fish Sale offers what was once a rare item in the trade, but thanks to captive breeding, hujeta gars, or black spot gars, have come down in price. They are good with larger South American species, but these gars will eat fish small enough to fit in their mouth. Black spot gars can adapt to frozen foods, but one step at a time - we recommend small live feeders to start. Ambush predators, the gar will float near the target before his (or her - they are difficult to sex) sudden attack.
