Blue Ribbon Tetra

Another tetra that is rarely found in the trade and pricey, the blue ribbon or blueberry tetra is found only in a small area of northern Brazil and can no longer be exported. However we have one breeder that makes these beautiful species available to the trade and they are very hardy and ready for the aquarium. It is unlikely you would ever see these fish in a store or another aquarium, and the picture doesn't give them justice. They are very active schooling fish and peaceful. Due to their high price we would not risk adding them to larger fish species tanks.
