The Cerith Snail is a small saltwater invert with green, black and white colorations. Its scavenging, algae eating and cleaning make it a perfect addition for the reef aquarium. The Cerith Snail also burrows in the sand which aids in aeration.Like other invertebrates, the Cerith Snail is sensitive to high nitrate levels and copper based medications. It also requires a gradual acclimation process, preferably the drip acclimation method, since it is sensitive to even minute changes in water parameters.
