The frog fish, also called the fresh water angler, is a brackish variation of the salt water angler fish. Coming from brackish waters of Indonesia the coloration is camouflage brown. Like the salt water version, these fish are ambush predators that wait for their prey or attract them with a little outgrowth on their forehead called an esca that acts like a lure. Wierd fish and difficult to keep unless you are very familiar with brackish conditions.
