Gold Inka Tetra

The gold inka tetra is not related to the common (but pretty) gold tetra of South America. The gold inka tetra comes only from a small region in Brazil and with two color variations, red or blue eyes on a bright solid gold body. The tetra is large, generally caught at two inches and grows to three inches. The gold inka is a peaceful fish but a very active swimmer so a small school of these fish should have at least 30 gallons of swimming space. Gold Inka Tetra are rare but hardy and eat flake food. There is little information on the web and at this point the species name is unassigned.
