Signifer Rainbowfish

Signifer is Latin for signal and this refers to the offset fins of the male signifer rainbow which expand and and compress when males are sparring. The signifer rainbowfish is abundant in Australia and swims in schools in shallow waters, so these fish will tend to school at the upper level of the aquarium. We recommend of school of six or more to establish natural conditions for this aquarium hardy species.
