The silver arowana is a classic predator of the Amazon and a classic pet fish in the aquatic trade. Silver arowanas are fine with other fish their same size, but over the years these monster fish will gr25.49ow to three feet. In the wild, these fish can jump in the air to catch small birds, so the aquarium will need a top cover. The arowana can be converted to feed on floating pellet food, but have a source of feeder fish as well. Small arowana often have a yolk sac which will disappear within a few days. At that point they will need small live food or meaty flake food.
