The silver arowana is a classic predator of the Amazon and a classic pet fish in the aquatic trade. Silver arowanas are fine with other fish their same size, but over the years these monster fish will grow to three feet. In the wild, these fish can jump in the air to catch small birds, so the aquarium will need a top cover. The arowana can be converted to floating pellet food, but have a source of feeder fish as well. We do not recommend small birds.
