Blue King Tetra

The blue king tetra, or simply the blue tetra, is prolific in the Columbia Amazon basin and very hardy for a wild caught fish. These tetras grow to nearly two inches and feature a pale blue body with black and white caudal (tail) fins. The color of the fins do not stand out until the fish is about one year of age. Asian imports are cheaper, but these fish tend to be washed out in color. Blue tetras from AquairumFishSale.com are imported from the Amazon basin through Bogota.
