The Guinean Bichir, from the African country of Guinea, is not often available. When we can get them from that more remote area of Africa we don't have them for long! Guinean bichirs, also called the Ansorgii Bichir, have short dorsal fins similar to a stegosaurus dinosaur with a black and cream marble body. These African bichirs are larger that most and grow to 30 inches.
In the aquarium, like other bichir, the ansorgii bichir will eat frozen and pellet food. These exotic fish are compatible with most species that wont fit in their mouth.
