Synodontis Angelicus Catfish
These fresh water fish are commonly referred to as the Angel Catfish or Angelicus Cat. It is a peaceful naked catfish to have in your aquarium.
Looking for an exotic fish to buy? Some have described this fish as having the opposite color pattern of another popular relative, the Cuckoo Squeaker, S. multipunctata (please see photo below). Color and spot patterns vary greatly, and individual fishes are capable of radically changing their background colors. Health, stress, age, sex and other factors are likely involved, but much remains to be learned. Fishes involved in aggressive encounters or, perhaps, courtship, sometimes lighten to almost white in color.
Synodontis Catfish are omnivores and should be offered sinking catfish pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, and a good quality flake food.
Angelicus, like most synodontis species, will readily eat flakes, pellets, catfish wafers, frozen and live foods like brine shrimp. DO NOT feed synodontis any type of worms as it will constipate them and can be lethal. A varied diet is always best.
